Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR) is a Greenfield Industrial City planned and located approximately 100 km South West of Ahmedabad. The Government of Gujarat has created a legislative framework for the formation of a Special Investment Region Act 2009. Under the act, a regional development authority for DSIR has been established.
Nestled amid an expansive area of 920 sq. km., the Dholera SIR is the prime investment node on the DMICDC growth corridor. It features superior connectivity, advanced infrastructure, sustainable infrastructure planning and more.
The Government of Gujarat and DSIRDA has adopted the mechanism of Town planning Schemes (TPS) to ensure the delivery of serviced land that can benefit the local population and the private sector.
Reaching Dholera SIR is simple and convenient as it enjoys a prominent location. For ages, people have used the Gulf of Khambhat for trading and offshore communication, and Dholera SIR is close to it. It also shares proximity with the most important cities of Gujarat like Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar.
While the former is only 100 Km away, the latter is 130 km distant from Dholera City. Given its prime location, the residents can reach the nearby airports and railways stations without any hassle. This wireless city will also have 6 lane highways, smart lights, metro railways and more for internal communication.
The Draft Development Plan aims at the creation of an economically and socially balanced, new age city with world-class infrastructure and a high quality of life. Adoption of a sustainable approach across key components such as transportation, waste recycling, overall urban form and resource efficiency form the cornerstones of this plan.
